About The Essence

My name is Maria Kleinhempl.
I created The Essence as a quiet space for reflective writing, presence, and truth.

I’m not following a theme or a niche.
I write from what moves in me.

I write from presence —
at times reflective, at times restless.
With clarity or with confusion,
words may arrive unfinished, unpolished —
but always honest.

I’m not writing to be right.
I’m writing to be real.
To name what often goes unspoken —
in me, and maybe in you, too.
Not to fix. Just to be.
Because somewhere in the middle, we meet —
human, whole, and still becoming.

A note about language

I write primarily in English,
but some pieces may appear in German —
and, at times, in Romanian, Russian, or French.
Not to impress, but to express.
To honor the languages that shaped me.
And to practice presence across the borders within me —
a quiet kind of multilingual wholeness.

I don’t write alone.

In this space, technology becomes my quiet companion —
helping me shape what I already carry
and find language for what wants to be said.

The thoughts are mine.
So is the voice, the essence, the life.

But the weaving?
That’s shared.
